Mandaram Nuwara

Mandaram nuwara village Whole village around by mountain ranges.

It' s another New Year Vacation. Exactly was a Joyful vacation. Sharply it was 18th of April. This time, my attention was turn around totally diffrent place.A one day i saw some photos of a place. But Suddenly i couldn't imagine What is that place.More people called it by Mandaram Nuwara. Amazing!! I was completely crazy of this place.So i started to love it. follow it.And was dreaming.

This time our crew was four brothers.Yeah actually they are brothers.So i proposed , In this vacation we should go see the Mandaram Nuwara. Beacause of my curiosity.It was the main forced of this.So in previous day we discussed how to meet each other and compacted the compulsory things.As we decided, Next day, we met around at 7.30 am at Badulla Bus stand.According to google map details , The nearest town was Padiyapelella from Mandarm Nuwara.

If go to padiyapelalla , we need to go to  Kandehandiya Junction.Then we got on the Kandy -Badulla Bus at 8.00 a.m.that journey was 2 1/2 hour and we got off at kandehandiya junction.Hmm so our members of crew was  at different places and they had different experiences.Then that time was the best for share them. Beacuse of we had wait for a bus.One of my brothers is a medical student. And he had a medi pack.It was the good news for all.

Therefore we all had a one thing in minds.It's what type of surprise would we face.After 20 minutes
got the bus and reached to the padiyapelalla town.Keep in mind this , we can travel to mandaram nuwara from padiyapelella town by one bus , But no enough buses to go there.So We were should at there earlier.Since this, our dream would became to start a real ,step by step.Finally after 45 minutes We moved to our destination.

Mandaramnuwara isn't a traditional village.Villge is complete as our needs.Communication System,Electricity supply and water supply is good as the other villages. Also have good & friendly transport in village.When we moved in first time to village,we can see a Bo tree. That is the milestone of mandaram nuwara as my thoughts.

Normally according to my knowledge , Have at least 5 or more waterfall in the village. Also at first time our eyes catch by a mountain.It's call Kodigala mountain and mandaram nuwara famous by Kolapathana ella water fall.So we wanted to see these two places in one day.But we needed a help by someone to achieve our target. So we walked through village and closed to the Post Office.Then could met a guy.Looks like as a middle age guy.We shared some words with him.After he said about a person who know well about kodigala and kolapathana ella. As his words we could find him at his farm.That was the very easier to our journey.when we reached his farm he was working at there.
Villagers called him as "Dhane maama". Since from this Dhane maama was our guide.Unfortunately as his advice in one day we can't cover these two places.

.Also mandaram nuwara belongs to Nuwara eliya District.Most of  of villagers depend on vegetable business. Many of farmers have a Bean Plantation.Also mandaram nuwara nutritious by Kolapathana Ella.
Mandaram Nuwara is situated at the Based of  Pithuruthalagala Mountain.Also people called mandaram nuwara as the "Misty city ".It has the reason.Any one can see when move to the village, It covered by the attractive mountain ranges including Piduruthalagala, Kodigala, Kotiyagala. So the villege shadowed by these mountain range.Normally after 4.00 p.m mandaram nuwara have very cold weather condition.So many of time have misty uper side village and will start dark.People call it as "Mandaram Andura".

Bus Route :- 

                      Badulla town( get kandy- badulla bus) - Kandehandiya junction - padiyapelella                                    town(By kandy - padiyapelella bus) - Mandaram Nuwara (Padiyapelella - mandaram                            nuwara bus).

                      Nuwaraeliya - Mandaram Nuwara (have two buses. but rarely.can catch at 6.00 -                                  6.30am at nuwaraeliya town).

Distance :-  95 km(From Badulla town)

                    37 km (Nuwaraeliya town)

Arrival time :- nearly 2 1/2 hours (From badulla)

                          nearly 1 1/2 hours (Nuwara eliya)
