Wangedigala

1 year ago,on a Saturday I saw some of the photos in wangedigala mountain.That's amazing!!.I have never seen it before.I was totally interest. So i searched many of time regarding wangedigala. That was the point of this hiking.

That day, In last year, on 06th of November i was coming back to my home from Galle for 2 month vacation.That was the better time to travel wangedigala. on 07th of November i and my  friends were set at Badulla bus Stand at 8.30.we took the Colombo-Badulla bus.It was 2 hour journey.And we got  offat Kalupahana Junction at 11.00.But We couldn't see the wangedigala forest as i saw earlier. Unfortunately finesse forest around the Wangedigala mountain was destroying By Fire since in last night.

Eventhough we didn't want miss this chance.Had some curiosity and hopes to see what is this paradise.Also the villagers were said that have some risk to climb wangedigala. Because of the approach road is situated among the finesse forest.Finally we decided to continue our journey.Our team conducted by 3 person including me.

So we were 3 places and had different life styles.shared ideas, experience, unforgettable incidences of each others. Wooow.!!  that was as the river.Completely like a river.that time was flow very beauty.And forgot the doubt of this journey.Because that was  our time,our paradise.we can fly everywhere in paradise like birds.Yeah!!  To few time,we could become like birds in freedom.

We walked nearly 5-6 km since Kalupahana Junction on tar road . and there was staircase side of road.  We moved the small Village. Staircase was the approach road to village.When any traveller  move the village,then they can see the special and many of years old bridge.

Now a days that bridge don't use by villagers We can say That's the landmark of this journey.So after those things, we reached to Finesse Forest.Oh my God!!. We couldn't find any foot road to mountain.All the milestones destroyed by the fire

.Travelers never lost their hopes, likes until to see their dream Paradise. So We Climbed the mountain as mind.Finally We reached the camping site Of  Wangedigala Mountain.Marvelous!!.I Highly Recommended You must see this Beauty.

We continuously walked through foot road And came top of the mountain.When we reached the top of Mountain at 2.30 p.m.We spent nearly 2 hours for it. Sometimes will think touch the sky.That's bullshit!!.Had very cold Climate

Why people say wangedigala mountain?.Because of Top of mountain like as a "wangediya"(It's use the blender some medicines,rice,etc. )

Camping Site

" Wangedigala mountain is the 13th Highest Mountain In Srilanka. One side of the mountain, We can see the Gommolli Kanda mountain and Balathoduwa Mountain. Also we can see on other side Devil's staircase, Udaweriya Estate and Bambarakanda waterfall."
